Applications Now Available for
March Indoor Yard Sale

If you'd like to be a vendor at our next Indoor Yard Sale on Saturday, March 5th at the Burns Road Recreation Center, download or pick up an application, complete it and submit it and pay your fee. Booth space is $25, $10 per 8' rented table and $10 if electricity is needed. Early registration is highly recommended, as space is limited. More Information

Early Registration for Camp Gardens

Early registration for summer camp begins February 9th for Classic and Sports R Us camps ONLY and must be done in person at any Recreation service desk.  Online registration begins March 8, 2016, at 8am for ALL camps, including specialty and half-day camps. A Play-A-Way payment plan is available February 9 - May 26, 2016, and must also be done in person. Please call 561-630-1100 for more information.

GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club

Wednesday, February 17  |  7pm

The Woman's Club will host a program on February 17th about Health and Wellness. Dr. Abbas Rabiei will speak at 7pm. The meeting is held at the Lakeside Community Center, 10410 N. Military Trail and all are welcome. Refreshments will be served with a business meeting to follow. YOUTH CLASSES & PROGRAMS

Toe Tappers with Ann Fraser

Learn the basics of both ballet and tap while gaining awareness of tempo and coordination. This beginner class is for 4-5 year olds and runs Tuesdays, February 2-March 1 from 3:30-4:25pm. Res/Non-Res Fee is $55/$69 for 5 weeks. Register online or in person. Ballet and Tap shoes are required for this combo class.

Clay Creations with Sam Costanzo

Kids ages 5-10 can come play with clay and create pieces using coils, slabs, pinch pots and extrusions. Learn decorative techniques using textures and colorful glazes. This class runs Wednesdays, February 17-March 30 (no class March 23) from 5-6:30pm. Res/Non-Res Fee: $120/$150 for 6 weeks. Register online or in person. More Information

Be Mine! Valentine's Day Cake & Cookie Decorating

This Early Release Day workshop for ages 5-11 will celebrate Valentine's Day. We will decorate cupcakes and make decadent and delicious chocolate treats for your sweethearts. Class takes place on Thursday, February 4 from 12:30-2pm. Res/Non-Res Fee: $20/$25. Register online or in person by February 2nd to prevent class cancellation. More Information


Futsal (Indoor Soccer)

For ages 7-18, this Futsal program is a fast-paced, street style form of soccer that continues to grow in popularity. This indoor version of soccer improves players' creativity, passing, and dribbling by focusing on play within tight quarters. The program concludes with the Puma Cup tournament on March 18. Fridays, February 5-March 18 from 6-8pm (no class February 19 or 26) at the Burns Road Rec Center. Resident/Non-resident Drop-in fee is $10/$13. Puma Cup price is $25 R/$32 NR.

School's Out Day

The Burns Road Rec Center is the place to be when school is out. Sign up your K-8th grader for on-site fun activities and entertainment on Monday, February 15th. Program hours are 7:30am-6:00pm. Res/NR: $40/$50 per day. Register online or in person. More Information

ADULT CLASSES & PROGRAMS

New! Portrait Painting & Sketching

Register now for this class that runs March 2-30 from 1-4pm. Learn how to create a portrait for the first time or enhance your existing skills. A live model will be provided so that the structure of the head and face can be observed from life. Go beyond line and detail with paint, charcoal or pastels. Additional model fee of $10 per class will be paid to the instructor. Supply list available at registration. Resident/Non-resident fee: $130/$163 Register online or in person. More Information

Mat Pilates with Nicole Haag

This Mat Pilates class for ages 18 + will tone, shape, lengthen and strengthen your entire body. Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced students all welcome. This class will incorporate both beginning level modifications and advanced variations to ensure all participants get the best workout possible. Yoga mat provided or bring your own. Classes run February 8-29 from 8:30am-9:25am. Res/Non Res Fee: $60/$75. Burns Road Rec Center. Register online or in person.

Ageless Grace™ for 55+

Ageless Grace™ is a seated exercise program designed for people of all abilities to improve movement and memory. Learn simple tools to move with comfort and ease and initiate a mind-body link that can positively affect attitude, increase cognitive function and live your life to its fullest. Res/Non-res Fee for the 6-week session is $48/$60. Register now for Tuesdays, March 1-April 12 from 11:15am-Noon at Burns Road Rec Center and/or Thursdays, March 3-April 14 from 10-10:45am at Lakeside Center.

NEW Fitness Drop-In Classes

Starting February 2, there will be three new additions to our ever-popular drop-in fitness classes. Cardio Tennis now will be available Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9am, and Hitting Frenzy will be Fridays at 10am. Just show up, sign in and get on the court for a brisk hour of activity. For one hour: $15/$12/$10 per Non-resident/PBG Resident/PBGTC Passport Holder.

USTA-sanctioned Adult City Singles Championships

February 5-8 – Whatever your level is, we have an event for you; from Women's and Men's NTRP 2.5 and 3.0 on up. There are Men's & Women's Open and age-group events, plus ability-based NTRP categories; main draw and consolation. Your EARLY ONLINE APPLICATION is essential to attracting the kind of draw that you want! If you want to play, please don't wait around to "see if they get a good draw". Sign-up now! Friday, February 12, 10am-Noon - In preparation for the "Celebration of Love", our 2-hour program of rapid-fire drills will help you release your tensions and pent-up frustrations…or simply get a great heart-pumping workout! Pizza Social Is Back - Come Play!

Friday, February 26, 6:30-9pm - Thanks to our sponsor, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices/Florida Realty, The Island Group , we offer this great activity. Our fun, ability-based, change-partner mixed doubles format is played for about 2 hours. Pizza, salad and soft drinks follow. Levels are 3.0-4.5. Are you looking for a fun and healthy activity for them?  If so, the Mako Sharks are welcoming new swimmers of all skill levels, ages 4-17, to come check out the swim team. Lap Swim Hours

Let us help you keep your New Year's resolution to stay active and improve overall health. Our 25-yard heated pool is perfect for a leisurely swim, a hard workout or water walking.  A handicap lift is available for use. Quarterly lap passes are available: $68.90 Res/$137.50 Non-Res.
